Fomela Motors offers $500 waiting discount during FirstClass plant recovery

What happened

Fomela Motors today confirmed temporary delivery support for customers affected by a production disruption to FirstClass, the company's luxury model. A weather-related mudslide damaged part of one production site at the end of Q4 last year, reducing available FirstClass production capacity by approximately 25 percent. No fatalities were reported, and repair work is now under way.

Customer support

The company expects repairs to take around three months. The repair work is estimated at $100 million and is covered by Fomela's existing insurance arrangements. To support customers who choose to keep their order, Fomela will apply a $500 waiting discount to eligible FirstClass vehicles ordered before inventory is available.

The discount recognises the inconvenience of a longer waiting period while keeping customers connected to the vehicle they selected. FirstClass remains one of Fomela's most important premium models, valued by customers for its comfort, styling and high-quality driving experience. During the recovery period, some FirstClass orders may move into the second half of the year, depending on specification, dealer allocation and available inventory.
